A QUICK MINI FOR WALLET PICTURES

Hello my Friends! I love to use wallet-size pictures whether it's for pages or minis they're the perfect size. I was thinking about a way to my favorite moments of the Advent with my Grandmother in France and then I thought why not bind them all together and slide them into a sturdy cover. And while at it why not share a step-by-step with you?!

MINI ( closed ): 3 x 4 inches. All papers from Making Memories'Noel 

TUTORIAL:

1. To make the cover, cut 3 pieces of heavy cardboard and glue on top of your cardstock.

  

2. This is what the cover will look like:

  

3. Adhere 2 pieces of ribbon like so:

   

4. Adhere the lining which is slightly smaller than the cover:

   

5. Make pockets by adhering 2 pieces of cardstock on each side:

   

6. Gather your wallet pictures and two papers for the cover.

  

7. It'll look like that:

  

8. You can now slide the front cover of the mini into the "front "pocket and the back cover into the "back" pocket.

This mini could be a good way to gather your memories of the Holidays!

Hello Friends, alexandra here. Thank you APIT for always choosing the perfect kits! I mean it. I came back from a short week in the city of lights. Filled with happiness and nostalgia, I saw this collection from M.M as a wonderful way to prolong my adventure in Paris.

Here are the lay-outs I've made so far. I used two things to emphasize that dream-like state: iPhone photos and Tsukineko walnut inks:

I'm currently working on a mini-book about Paris with Lily, my 7 year old daughter, here is a peek at the cover:

Halloween Banner

Hello there! This is alexandra to share with you another project made with scraps: a Halloween Banner!

I used a Quickutz' die but one could cut large triangles from black cardstock and smaller ones in your scraps.
The letter are cut from a foam sheet ( Michael's ) using Quickutz' alpha Chemistry.

ALTER AN ALTOID MINT BOX INTO A GIFTBOX

Hello there! Alexandra here to show you a fun and easy project you can make in minutes: An altered Altoid Mint box turned into a unique gift box!

I used this month kit from The Crate paper:

1. With the box closed, draw the outine of the box onto your piece of cardstock and cut:

2. File the edges to give it a bit of a distressed look:

3. Choose a tag and adhere to the paper. I added a rub-on to add more visual interest:

4. Next, add a 3-D embellishement such as a felt flower with a button or brad in its center:

5. You can cover the inside of the box:

FRIDAY'S BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE

Hello! Alexandra there. I wanted to share with you a page I made with the BoBunny kit. It's such a fun kit, perfect to illustrate these "come on Mom pictures" of my D.S ;-)

The letters are made out of foam, cut with the Revolution ( Quickutz Chemistry )

A TRI-FOLD BOOK

Hello There! My name is alexandra and my role at APIT is to: "Stretch That Kit". I was lucky enough to play with the Basic Grey collection this month:

Here are some of the projects I made with the Capella collection:

When I first saw that line, I thought about two things: a Baby book for my friend Jamie who's about to have her 5Th baby and a "vintage" page with older (think sepia pictures) lay-out. Here is how I made the tri-fold Baby book.

The book is made of 2 Legal file folders, trimmed down, adhered together and scored according to the format needed. The elastic is threaded as shown in the picture below.

The pages are binded to the third part of the structure with the bind-It-All.

I distressed the edges of the papers to give them more depth.

Here is the book almost finished, ready for a title...

The tag and the "B" are Quickutz dies, the other letters are rub-ons from American Crafts.

The tag is glued only on its right side:

This kind of books could serve many purposes and different elements could be added such as : a slot for a pen, some pockets...
